WeChat article read counts via API

This guide shows how to read the view count, like count, and wow count of one WeChat article. Callable endpoints are the ones on the WeChat catalog .

Which endpoint

For one article, POST https://api.xtree.io/api/wechat/articles/metrics . The related endpoint is https://api.xtree.io/api/wechat/articles/metrics/pro . The catalog currently lists 0.5 CNY per call for each. If the price changes, use the catalog.

Send one of three fields: url, article_url, or article_id. article_id is the segment after /s/ in the link. The platform turns it into a full link. The link must be a short link at https://mp.weixin.qq.com/s/ or a long link that contains __biz.

A successful response requires read_num and like_num. old_like_num can be empty. Field notes are in the docs .

History for a whole account, with read counts included, is a different endpoint and is not covered here. Incomplete delivery is not billed.

Questions

Can I send the account name?

No. This endpoint accepts an article link or article_id. It does not accept an account name.
